analysis through painting
In creating my own language, I was interested in using paper to create modules to explore to elements of color and geometry in the original image. In addition, I was fascinated by the way folded paper could also emulate different heights that were readable through the shadows on the image, and how you are able to have different experiences looking at the model in plan view versus from any other angle. In addition, the irregularity of the internal swirling patterns captures the essence and texture of the gardens.
